Red car birthday party

This year, we celebrated the boy's birthday at Joymax, Thao Dien, Dist 2. The place has a room for the function and an indoor playground for the kids to play. It is a perfect place to hold the kid's birthday party since the kids can eat and play and the parents can eat, eat, eat and chat. Awesome!!!!

I would like to share here a pavlova recipe i came across which is quite succesfull. Try them out! Good luck! Its very easy by the way.

-1 full cup of egg whites ( since eggs size are diff sometimes, make sure no egg yolk sipping et all)

1) heat oven at 180c
2)whisk white eggs for about 10min untill they developed soft peak
3)add in cornflour, vinegar, vanilla and fold them in with spatula
4)put in the oven and turn down temp to 120c , bake for 1 1/2 hour.( an hour and a half)
5) once done leave the meringue to cool in the oven overnight or at least 4h.

-1 cup whipp cream
- icing sugar to taste

My little artist

Harith loves to paint. He paint almost everyday. He will ask my permision weather he can paint today, then he will set up his own isle, get the water colour himself, water in a bucket, a clean towel, brush , palete and his own chair to sit while painting. He will either choose an object to paint or he will paint a scene from his memory or his imagination. He will choose the colour and squeeze the colour out himself , mix his own colour, wash the paint brush once he's done with the colour wipe it clean with the towel and take another colour using the clean brush. Once done he will bring the painting out to dry and cleanup his painting stuff. Thats the routine that was taught to him slowly and repetetively. All this actually make me realize how good children are with routine. He's getting better at his painting everyday. Uyay will usually wants to join in after and of course ummi will have to set the stuff for him and clean them up later.

Making cookies

I love cookies, i love everything about them, from mixing them, choosing their flavor( orange, chocolate, almond, ginger, smarties, so on and on) , i love designing their shapes on trays, i love baking them, i love their aroma in the oven, and i love eating them. Today i made the batch to bake with the kids, as one of their fun activity. While ummi enjoys this activity the most, i dont think my macho boys really adore doing it :).

One lazy sunday afternoon, i gave the kids muffin baking class, well more to how to pour the muffin mix in the cup and decorating them for the kids, but they did well, its fascinating to realize how good their hand coordination are actually. Its fun to eat the muffin later too!!.
