Christmas tree with ribbons and beads

To encourage Harith creativity, i encourage him to explore on things he cant do with his surroundings. Chritmas spirit is strong in Harith's school as like in any other international school i suppose therefor christmas tree is one of the artsy things in Harith's mind lately. Why not, the
colorfull trees full of trinkets are such a delight to most kids. The other day Harith found used ribbons and wants to use them as his craft activities therefore we accumulate some more ribbons and stuff and started to make our very wn 2D christmas tree :) , its quit fun .

Finger paintings

We bought a notebook for Ms Rena , Harith's classroom teacher and on his insistence to write in them ( harith cant see an empty notebook) I let him write his christmas wish to Ms Rena and draw in them . We chose to make a chritmas tree with his fingers. It turns out lovely. :)

Sensory and math game with colorfull cereals

Some game can even be played during snack time. Zuhayr n Harith loves this cereal. Today i make uyay arrange them by colors. This is a sensory stimulating game and later i make him arrange those cereals on colorfull numbering paper. He'll count them, see how the number look like and encourage him to start making the connection of the numbering and counting. And later he eat them counting each time he popped one into his mouth.

Tracing with water color

Another simple art game for my little uyay!! At this point Harith already warn me ' ummi dont do any project with uyay and wait untill i came back from school okay'. I just love doing these stuff with the kids. Its a good way to spend quality times together.

Paper art

This is just some very simple paper art Ibplayed with zuhayr the other day. Thisactivity encourage patience, concerntration and fine motor skills.

Kizcity

Kizcity is a Vietnam version of kidzania. I didn't know it existed until a friend of mine ( Harith's classmate mom) invited me to go with a group of other kids and mothers as an outing for the kids. It was ok, i have never been to kidzania though. But Harith and Zuhayr enjoyed himself especially at the fire engine station.

Homemade telescope

Its a dream of mine to do lots of science project with my kids. However most of the time a science project is a big project at busy time its quite impossible.

The other day , Harith and I , and uyay ( not to forget the little guy help as well) manage to make a telescope!!! The deco outside the telescope body is totally Harith idea and work. Of course i need to help with the silinder and lense. Yeay and it works!!! Weeeeee!!!, now we can start looking at the stars and mapping them. Maybe I would buy him a real one later once I manage to quirk his interest more on this astronomy stuff.

Flower pot

The other day Harith saw my plastic flowers i stored somewhere and wants to arrange them in a flower pot and started wishing that he can make a flower pot. Hmmm he seems to want to make everything that he wants!! Isn't great!!. Tak yah beli, and secretly wishing he has some talent to be an inventor someday. Sigh....mother's fantasy. Well ok why not, so I thought of a very simple paper art. Just like paper mashie but shorter time to dry. We did it one day and let it dry overnight and color them the next day and Harith took my flowers and arrange them himself. Later he had an idea to gave them to his class teacher Ms Rena whom he misses so much during the holiday. Now the flower pot is sitting in his classroom as deco. And he is proud of them everyday. Its a good activity overall fill with creativity, encouraging ideas and realizing them and teach lots of compassion as well plus encouraging self confidence.
